 Welcome to our lab in the Department of Genetics, one of eleven basic sciences departments in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

We are studying links between the SUMO, ubiquitin, and general transcriptional regulatory pathways in the budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  You can examine our current research summary and a list of recent publications here.
Update on our Systematic 2 micron yeast genomic library
Our Nature Methods paper describing the systematic 2 micron library is now published.  A web page that we constructed to assist in the use of this library in genetic screens is accessible here. The library is distributed by Open Biosystems.

We transferred the library inserts from the 2 micron vector to a CEN URA3 vector and closed many of the gaps in the library, resulting in a pair of 99% complete libraries (2010 Prelich and Hvorecny Yeast 27:861-865). Open Biosystems agreed to distribute the CEN library and the supplementary 2micron library clones, but they have not made any attempts to fulfill that agreement despite repeated prodding by me and others. Distribution of those reagents is therefore up in the air at this point. If you want them, let us know. I can't promise anything, since it is difficult for a small lab like ours, but we will try.
